Valerie has over twenty year’s experience in counseling and teaching in the mental health field. Her work focuses on providing tools for individuals, couples and groups to define and achieve their goals and make positive and lasting change.

She believes that the key to change is doing, rather than just talking. For this reason, she has worked with integrative techniques such as EMDR, Interactive Guided Imagery, and more for over fifteen years.

In addition to her private practice, Valerie currently runs a parenting program and teaches anger and stress management.

Valerie has published a series of audio tapes using guided imagery to teach relaxation skills and creativity, and co-produced a video on depression. She is the co-founder of both Matrix Seminars for Living with Cancer and Tapestry of the Soul Seminars for Women.
