Intern Training Program

Touchstone is a leading East Bay Area training site for Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) interns. Interns are registered with the state and work under the supervision of a licensed MFT towards completing the licensure requirements in California. Our interns are carefully selected and receive excellent supervision and training.
Touchstone is interested in interviewing MFT interns to become part of our organization. An internship at Touchstone is best suited for those interns who plan to be in private practice, are self-directed and self-motivated, and want to learn the necessary skills for running their own business. If you are interested, please contact the Clinical Director, Bronwyn Warren, at 925-932-0150, ext. 304. It is very helpful if you
email your CV and a cover letter indicating your interest.
Peer-Led Consultation Group
This consultation group meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of every month. We share in facilitation duties. The group is intended to be an ongoing community of therapists coming together to learn from each other, discuss clients from different perspectives and orientations, and get support from each other in handling counter-transference and difficult client situations. The only requirement is that we show up and treat each other with respect, even if we disagree. For more information, see our
flyer or contact Beverly Swann at 925-932-0150, ext. 301.
Families In Transition (FIT) Training and Consultation
The
Families In Transition (FIT) Program provides divorce solutions that work for families. Therapists who provide services as part of this program receive additional training and consultation in order to provide coordinated treatment for the entire family. For more information about this additional level of professional development, please contact Mike Carolla at 925-932-0150 ext. 306.
A Different Weigh Training and Consultation
Coming in early 2012,
A Different Weigh program will focus on providing
therapy for those with weight loss/weight management issues as well as comprehensive outpatient services for those with eating disorders and/or compulsive, binge, and emotional eating issues. Therapists who provide services in this program will receive additional training and consultation in order to provide the specific levels of treatment that have proven most effective for these clients. For more information about this additional level of professional development, please contact Beverly Swann at 925-932-0150 ext. 301.
