Karen's practice focuses on helping clients help themselves. She provides a caring and empathic environment to guide clients to process barriers and reach deeper satisfaction in their lives. By gaining understanding and insight, clients are empowered with new ways to navigate challenges and dissolve problem areas.

Karen uses an integrated model of traditional therapeutic techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, family of origin, psychodynamic work, humanistic, and experiential therapy. She has specialized experience working in the school system with children, adolescents, special education, and individuals with developmental disabilities.

Karen received her Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. In addition, she is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT).
