She provides individual and/or couple therapy to increase coping skills and decision-making capabilities to handle stressors including job changes (workplace bullying, termination, promotion, new career), grief due to a death (including pet loss), terminal/chronic diagnosis or illness, relationships (current, extramarital, separation/divorce), and other life changes (empty nest, retirement, menopause, midlife crisis).

Rhonda has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Eastern New Mexico University and a Master of Arts degree in Mental Health Counseling from City University of Seattle. She is a clinical member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT) and the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT), and continues to volunteer at the Contra Costa Crisis Center as a Grief Counselor and as a Mental Health Screener for other volunteers.

 

Rhonda completed the Department of Transportation's (DOT) Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) Qualification Training and passed the SAP exam in September 2007 and has over six years treating dually diagnosed clients at county mental health.
